Quilligans FC 4 v 0 Northern Care Reserves

Quillgans kicked in to the wind in the first half and had a great early chance but Scott Sugden fired over, further chances were created but some sloppy finishing prevented an early advantage.

Eventually after a good move Scott Sugden raced clear of the defence and drilled the ball past Best in goal to make it 1-0.

What happened next bordered on the ridiculous, as the Quilligans players were celebrating Sugden's strike in the Northern Care penalty area, the referee allowed them to restart the game, and the funny sight of about eight Northen Care players bounding towards Tony Clowes goal, and then somehow managing to miss the chance to equalise.

This kicked off a mass protest to a referee who clearly is unaware of the rules of football, luckily they didn't score or there could have been further chaos.

Sugden then had a goal incorrectly chalked off for offside before burying his next chance to make it 2-0 to Quilligans.

The second half was really down to Northen Care keeping the score down, but a 25 yard Danny Rowe strike and a fine finish from a similar distance from Anthony Pearson made the final score 4-0 to Quilligans.
