Quilligans travelled to Broadwaters for their third away game on the bounce against Fleetwood Cricket Club, hoping for 3 points and a good performance with the Gledhill final ever nearer.

Cricket Club had the first chance of note when a ball of the top caught Clowes out of his area. The ball was subsequently hooked across the Quilligans area but no-one was on hand to apply the finishing touch.

After that wake-up call Quilligans went straight down the other end and opened the scoring. A ball upfield was flicked on by Spedding into the path of Catlow. He chested the ball down and volleyed the ball into the net with the keeper rooted to the spot.
Cricket Club then tested Clowes with a long range effort which he gathered easily. Nuttall then had a chance to increase Quilligans lead but he put his effort wide, then Catlow forced a good save from the Fleetwood Cricket Club keeper.

The in-form Clowes pulled off another tremendous save to keep the scores level, diving full length to his round to tip a powerful effort round the upright. He was then called into action again to produce another smart save form a close range effort.
Cricket Club could have gone in level when they were through clear on goal but the player couldn't quite connect with the ball to apply the final touch.

Quilligans opened the half forcing a good early save from the Cricket Club keeper. Wood was then replaced by Cook on 56 minutes. Quilligans were then reduced to 10 men, when the injured Swallow had to come off, with no substitute available to replace him.

Catlow then had the chance to increase Quilligans lead, but he missed the target with his headed effort when he really should have done better.

On 70 minutes Quilligans increased their lead. Good play by Spedding found Brooks who put in a superb cross to find Catlow who finished with aplomb into the far corner.

Cricket Club nearly pulled a goal back when Quilligans' Cook made an error, but even though got the ball in the net play was called back for a foul. Cricket Club threatened again when Clowes was forced to make two smart saves, but they were unable to breach the Quilligans rearguard.
